What is DIVX? The DIVX standard is a codec for encoding movies and video into extremely small sizes, enabling them to be watched easily on computers with DIVX playback software installed. DIVX movies look great on a computer, but even better when viewed on a TV, with their near-DVD video quality, and this DVD player allows you to burn your favorite movies onto DVD-R media and watch them easily.
