In the Star Wars universe, R5-D4 could be considered the economy line in the R5 industrial automation droid line. In the beginning of Episode IV (the original Star Wars film), this droid is the one that malfunctions, so the jawas offered R2-D2 to be offered as a replacement -- thus allowing R2 and C-3P0 to stay together. Stands 2.5" tall, and you control it with a lightsaber! This collectable toy can move in two directions -- by pressing the A button on the lightsaber, the R5 moves forward, and by pressing the B button it does a right back turn. Both the lightsaber and R5 unit have on and off switches, each unit uses two LR44 batteries (included). Batteries are inserted into the back of the R5 unit and the lightsaber (small Phillips screws). This is an incredible toy and a rare collector's item. A cool official Star Wars product released only for the Japanese market. Note: R5-D4 is the same size as standard action figures, so you can display it alongside your other Star Wars collectibles! (More like this) (Direct link to this product)
