A darkly spiritual and way cool Buddhist statue mini figure series, with 10 (9 plus one 'secret') gods including (from top, left to right) Dezan Shaka Zou, Garuda (the basis for the Japanese Buddhist god Tengu), Ne han-zou (sleeping Buddha), Tai-shaku (Sakra), Bonten (Brahma), Daiitoku Myouou (Yamantaka), Rajin (god of lightning), Shoukouou (god of judgement), Fujin (god of wind) and ????? (secret figure). Some of these may be memorable for fans of the ultraviolent sci-fi anime Gantz, where limbo-locked competitors are forced to compete with 'aliens,' the most deadly of which takes the form of Yamantaka, the Buddhist 'terminator' god with way too many arms. These are small figures with a large presence and have the appearance of an old dusty statue you might find in a temple. An excellent collectible set for those interested in Buddhism!
