| Westerners are often fascinated with the aesthetic beauty and functionality of kanji, the Chinese pictographs used to communicate meaning in China and Japan. Now J-List carries wacky Japanese T-shirts that feature messages written with a calligraphy brush pen (fude pen for writing shuuji characters). This character is gaijin which means "foreigner" (or more literally "outside person"), an esoteric shirt for any non-Japanese to sport. Beside the kanji, Japanese hiragana characters illustrate the pronunciation and give a Japanese uniqueness to the design. This is the standard men's size black shirt, available in S.
