This is an incredible deluxe minature katana and jitte set, suitable for display, or also suitable for use as a letter opener. The two minature weapons come with a display rack for ease of viewing. The katana when sheathed, is 8.25" long (20.5 cm), and when unsheathed the hilt has a beautiful stainless steel blade suitable for use as a letter opener. The katana is the blade of the ancient samurai, and the set comes with a description of samurai manners, as well as an illustration of the different parts of the katana with English and kanji names. The other part of this set is a jitte (also known as a jutte), the weapon used by law enforcement officers in the Edo period to catch and snap off the blades of their opponents. The jitte is 5.5" (14 cm) long and has a red tassle. This is an excellent quality set that you'll be proud to display and is suitable for ancient weapons fans or anyone who has an interest in Japanese history. This set is made here in Japan.
