| Bato is a living cyborg. His whole body, even his arms and legs, are entirely man-made. What only remains are traces of his brain and the memories of a woman. In an era when the boundary between humans and machines has become infinitely vague, Humans have forgotten that they are humans. This is the debauchery of the lonesome ghost of a man, who nevertheless seeks to retain humanity. Innocence... Is what life is...
Innocence is the sequel to the original anime film Ghost in the Shell previously released in theaters in 2004. Written and directed by Mamoru Oshii and produced by Production I.G, it's a timeless film with action and drama mixed in with religious and philosophical musings all wrapped in a futuristic cyberpunk world that pays homage to Blade Runner.
This Blu-Ray Absolute Edition is a re-release of the original film featuring enhanced audio and a wide screen ratio 1920x1080p format, spoken in the original Japanese text with fully optional English Subtitles. Extras include discussion between Mamoru Oshii, Chihiro Ito, and Isao Yukisada, trailer for "The Sky Crawlers," and more.
