Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime) was an incredible success in Japan, making more money than any movie released here before it. A wonderful tale of the conflict between man and nature, it's told in masterful style by master Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki. This very special Japanese release features *3 DVDs* that are just loaded with extras.
In addition to the full Japanese version, you get 8 different language versions -- English, French, Cantonese, Italian, Spanish, German, and Portuguese. You get other extras, too -- full English and Japanese subtitle options, a long documentary, and a special version of the film that shows the original storyboards as you watch the film (selectable with the multi angle key on your DVD controller).
The Mononoke DVD set also includes a very special item, movie trailers for all countries, so you can compare what American movie-goers saw with what was shown in Japan and France, for example. A fantastic and very special release from Buena Vista Japan and Studio Ghibli, we recommend this DVD to anyone who has a region free player or watches region 2 DVDs on their computers.

This is the Tokuten Disc 2 menu. The menu options, on the left side, are View Film (with various dubbed versions), Chapter, Sound settings, Subtitle settings. On the right side are Princess Mononoke film previews, previews from other Ghibli DVDs, and News.
The film if fully subtitled in English. Subtitles can be activated via your DVD remote controller.
Select soundtrack, between English, French, Cantonese, Italian, Spanish, German, and Portuguese.
