The runaway hit anime movie from Hayao Miyazaki, this is Spirited Away (Japanese title
Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, or the Spiriting Away of Sen and Chihiro), the film that sunk Titanic as the top-grossing film of all time in Japan. This is the brand new DVD release from Studio Ghibli and Buena Vista Home Entertainment, and it's a dynamite one for fans and collectors of Hayao Miyazaki's excellent feature films.
The charming story follows Chihiro, a girl who is moving to a new town with her parents. They stop to check out an old run-down amusement park, and the next thing Chihiro knows, she's thrown into a world of strange spirits, dragons, speaking frogs, a magical witch, all no less strange than Alice in Wonderland. Of course it's a visual masterpiece, easily the most beautiful animation you've ever seen from Mr. Miyazaki to date. We highly recommend this excellent film to all fans of Studio Ghibli, and are extremely glad to be able to offer it to you!
The film features subtitles in English, French and Japanese, and dubbed soundtrack in French and Japanese. The film is provided on 2 DVDs and features many extras, as with all Studio Ghibli's DVD film releases.

Spirited Away is a beautiful film, full of incredible scenes and characters that will be especially eye-opening to the Western eye. The images of what Chihiro encounters in the spirit world and call to mind Lewis Carroll very clearly. An incredible combinations of inventions of Mr. Miyazaki's and snippets from tales in ancient Japan and China, this is fabulous example of the quality and dedication that has made Mr. Miyazaki the most famous Japanese person in outside of Japan.
You can enjoy the film either with English, French or Japanese subtitles, or dubbed in French, too!
On the Extras disc, you can view the film in storyboard mode, a great way to get insight on the movie and the director.
