This item can be ordered. Weight: 1500 g. Price: $32.00
Product type: Japanese Cooking Item

| Takoyaki or breaded octopus conveniently shaped into small bite sized spheres, is a popular food item originating from Osaka. A rounded and smaller version of Okonomiyaki (a special dish of a breaded batter type consistency that's filled with meat and vegetables and flattened into a pancake shape), it is often found in restaurants that specialize in grilling food (like Yakitori or chicken kabobs) throughout Japan. This special item is an electric Takoyaki maker complete with a metal pan that shapes the batter into round octopus shaped balls on top of an electric heater that's sure to make your creations perfect every time. To make takoyaki just mix together with flour, eggs, cabbage, salt and pepper and of course add some octopus, fry them on the metal plate provided and when they're done, just add some soy sauce or tonkatsu sauce that you can find in any Japanese supermarket for a delicious meal. The web is filled with tons of takoyaki recipes to try them out today. A great way to make mealtime fun again! Read here for online instructions on how to make takoyaki. Of course, if you don't want to make Takoyaki, it's a great way to make pancake balls for an unusually cool breakfast treat! Utilizes AC100V 50/60Hz, 650W (this will work in the US) so please be sure to use a converter if needed. Measures 25x25x10 cm (10x10x4 inches).

| In Japan, there are many delicious things. One thing foreigners positively fall in love with is Japanese "sauce" (that's what it's called, just "sauce" in English, although the official name is tonkatsu sauce). A kind of thick, brown sauce that goes with a broad range of delicious food, we recommend sauce with fried food (croquettes, fried and breaded shrimp), eggs, yakisoba, takoyaki or okonomiyaki, and more. Peter loves to eat Japanese karaage (fried chicken) on rice, with lots of sauce on top, so that the sauce flows down over the chicken and into the rice. This is a handy bottle of 170ml of sauce for you, for many delicious servings! Made by Bulldog! |
