| Available once again! Because we love bizarre messages in Japanese, we tried to think of the most esoteric one ever! During World War II, the universal word for the Allied soldiers was "kichiku beihei" which translates literally as "barbarian American soldiers" or better as "dirty American devils" (thus it corresponds to the word "Jap"). Guaranteed to get bizarre looks from Japanese co-eds on campus, this stylish shirt is very colorful, and shamelessly puts out its beautiful kanji message for all to see. Although the "bei" (rice) character refers to America, the word applied to all Allied soldiers, including the British, Australians and Canadians. 100% cotton T-shirt made and printed in the USA. This is sure to be one of the favorite T-shirts in your wardrobe. Currently available sizes are S, M, L, XL and XXL. (SZS SZM SZL SZXL SZ2XL)

| Many gaijin come to Japan and fall in love with onsen (OWN-sen), the famous natural hot springs that have been enjoyed by Japanese for centuries. The best hot springs are, of course, the mixed-bathing variety, called kon'yoku in Japanese, a special bath where men and women can take a bath together. Here's a great wacky kanji T-shirt that proclaims your affinity for Japan's mixed-bathing culture, featuring a kanji slogan that reads "I love mixed-bathing hot springs," with the normal "heart" shape cleverly replaced by the "onsen mark," a symbol that denotes Japanese hot springs. Printed on an attractive yellow shirt, and available in sizes S. Please note this is a close out design to make room for newer designs for the new year. Limited supplies available so get your size while you can. Sorry all sales final. (SZS)

| Westerners are often fascinated with the aesthetic beauty and functionality of kanji, the Chinese pictographs used to communicate meaning in China and Japan. Now J-List carries wacky Japanese T-shirts that feature messages written with a calligraphy brush pen (fude pen for writing shuuji characters). This character is gaijin which means "foreigner" (or more literally "outside person"), an esoteric shirt for any non-Japanese to sport. Beside the kanji, Japanese hiragana characters illustrate the pronunciation and give a Japanese uniqueness to the design. This is the standard men's size black shirt, available in S. Please note, this shirt is being removed from our line up to make more room for new designs. Get your size while supplies last. All sales final. (SZS)

| A wacky new T-shirt from J-List, this features the famous Ryoma Sakamoto, one of the most respected founders of modern Japan, who embraced modernizing the country's outmoded institutions after the arrival of Commodore Perry's "Black Ships." (He was famous for being the samurai who wore Western boots.) This T-shirts puts a cool 'fro on Ryoma's head, and displays the slogan he embraced, "Wakon Yosai," translatable as "Japanese Spirit, Western Technology," which pretty much sums up the last 150 years of Japan. The word "wakon" is an abbreviated kanji word that also means "yamato-damashii" (Japanese spirit). We guarantee many laughs whenever a Japanese person sees this shirt! Standard U.S. size T-shirt in olive green, available in S. Please note, this is a close out item to make more room for new designs. Limited sizes are available so grab yours while you can.
