A perfect supplement to Shoxx magazine, this is Cure, an ultra hip, oversized J-rock magazine dedicated to avid fans of Japanese punk and gothic culture. Coining itself as a "Japaneseque Rock and Visual Styling Magazine," it's a wonderful trip to a rare underground youth culture with dark themes, rebelliously wild fashion, and a vibrant energy that can only be recreated by attending the concerts these bands perform in. Each issue dedicates itself to an unheard of 20-30 pages for a band of the moment, complete with drool worthy pictures perfect for scanning on your desktop or adorning you walls and gives you the latest and greatest of new and up coming bands. Wacky candid moments and backstage behind the scenes passes provide a humorous as well as human element to their otherwise Godly appearance to bring you closer to these superstars. Although the text is written in the original Japanese language we highly recommend this magazine for the tons of vibrant photos and extras (such as the large poster of the cover band) you'll receive with each issue. If you love Japanese J-rock, we highly recommend purchasing this reserve subscription to get future issues delivered directly to your door. A great monthly magazine to add to your collection. Each issue is perfect bound (no staple) to look great on a shelf.

This magazine subscription can be purchased on a revolving basis (where we'll reserve and bill each issue as it comes in) or annually (for a flat fee w/ SAL shipping included).

The one common staple of an anime or comic convention around the world whether it be the Comiket in Makuhari, Japan or the Anime Exposition in Anaheim USA, is the cosplayer. These special fans take great time and care to prepare costumes that will be instantly recognizable to anyone who sees it, and is an art and subculture unto itself. J-List is proud to bring you this very special magazine for the cosplay community called "Layers," featuring full color photographs and some quality costume designing. Taken at conventions around Japan, this is like FRUiTS or Elegant Gothic Lolita (EGL) except for the cosplay crowd. Each issue has dozens and dozens of photographs of some really astounding costumes and the people who wear and design them. These costumes cover the spectrum of anime. Games and beyond, and are often cute, often sexy and always well crafted and authentic looking. Each issue also has tips and tricks for costume design, where to buy good costumes and costume raw materials in Japan. Cosplayers will not want to miss this magazine, as well as anyone curious to see how the Japanese have brought their favorite anime/game characters into life. Characters in this issue include heroes and protagonists from Dragon Quest, Joe Joe's Bizarre Adventure, Macross F, Code Geass, Naruto, Sengoku Basara, Lucky Dog, Final Fantasy X-2, Gurren Lagaan, Persona 4, Soul Eater, Street Fighter... and also includes costume design pattern for a pants pattern design for Bolero Kazahaya of "Haru kanaru toki no naka de 4". Of course you'll find all your favorite sections with professional photographs of real models such as "Costume Tribe," costume tips from the professionals, anime samplers, makeup tips, and more. 140 pages, perfectbound.
