Demonbane (Deus Machina) is the brainchild of the team from Nitroplus with a strong Sci-Fi theme filled with amazing mecha, otherworldly powers, and weaponry. Originally a PC game (and now being released by JAST USA in English), a safer version for general audiences was developed for the PS2 and eventually spawning an OVA series in 2006. Revolving around a poor detective (and former student of sorcery) Kuro Daijuuji meets a woman with special powers known as AI (who happens to be a copy of the Necronomicon) who creates a pact with him in order to fight the mechanical menaces created by the evil Black Lodge. This official artbook developed by Nitroplus is dedicated to the series and filled with original sketches, color works in progress, concept art of characters and mecha that create this universe. A great mixture of full color and black and white illustration work. Thick with 120+ pages of inspiration at your finger tips.
