Passing the JLPT is an accomplishment that many Japanese language students strive to achieve, signifying their hardwork and proving their proficiency in the Japanese language. Originally the test structure ranged from level 4 (easiest) to level 1 (most difficult). As of 2010 a new JLPT test structure is taking place (N5 - N1), due to the issue of such a wide gap of difficulty between the 3rd and 2nd level structures, making it easier for more students to pass and "level up" their skills in a more progressive and less frustrating manner.

This purchase is for the brand new N3 level (set between the previous 3rd and 2nd level difficulties) study guide focusing on Bunpo (grammar). Written in full kanji with furigana pronunciation guides, it's completely translated in English, Korean and Chinese, assisting you with an easier and better understanding of how the Japanese language structure works. No more endless hours of trying to find out how to pronounce a vocabulary word or finding out what it means. Just focus on learning and practicing. Review on common phrases and sentence structures, how to use and connect these various phrases, sentence formation, practice tests, plus answer sheets on the back are included. This book is structured so that you can complete the book in 6 weeks straight if you study 2 pages every day! Part of the Nihongo So-Matome series by ASK Publishing! For more information on the new JLPT test structure refer to this URL.

A must have bilingual, multilingual Japanese language textbook to add to your library!

Many of us are familiar with the city scape and beauty of Japan, brave towering buildings reaching for the sky, temples with their simple aesthetic to bring people to peaceful thoughts, and the streets filled with neon lights to attract the wandering eye. However, few of us know the Japan that isn't meant to be seen -- the underground constructions that are made to keep Japan running, without trying to appeal to any aesthetic, just simple function. But to be sure, there are amazing sights to be seen underneath the concrete, and photographer Hideaki Uchiyama brings them to us, his camera giving us sights unseen and giving the dark corners special intriguing beauty. This is an incredible photobook with large pages, something to stir the imaginations of anyone who picks up this 135 page full color hardcover coffee table book. For photography fans and for anyone who has ever held a curiosity of Japan.

In his second volume, Hideaki once again explores the vast underworld of Japan finding beauty and wonder where the light of the sun never shines. Again, this book carries a lot of power, including: the inside of the Bentenshu, a memorial for unborn children which houses their remains; a sewage trunk line that reminds Hideaki of a "futuristic prison"; a WWII underground trench where thousands of soldiers lost their live and now inhabited by Venus fly traps; an underground pond 50m deep which houses recognizable light and much more. An index in the back describes the locations in both English and Japanese (bilingual) including impressions by Hideaki. 13" x 10".

Again, this book carries a lot of power, including: underground laboratories where scientists study artificial organs on goats and pigs; a vegetable factory deep under Tokyo that produces some incredibly ripe and nutritious tomatoes; a bunker in Yokohama used to issue orders for attack during WWII now populated by swarms of giant house centipedes; an 11 km long evacuation tunnel underneath a mountain and much more. An index in the back describes the locations in both English and Japanese (bilingual) including impressions by Hideaki. 13" x 10".

If you're planning a trip to Tokyo soon but don't want to go with the typical tourist crowd, look no further. This handy travel book courtesy of JTB brings to you the highlights of everything that Tokyo is known for (and not known for as well). A fantastic venture into various districts, each with their very own flavor and style that will be everything that you're looking for. Want something traditional, check out Asakusa, known for the Asakusa Kannon (Tokyo's largest Buddhist temple). If you like electronics, why not stop by the electric town distric known as Akihabara (Akiba for the Otaku at heart). Want to try the latest catch of the day, well be sure to wake up early and bring your appetites when you visit the famed Tsukiji fish market. Additionally, you'll find great places to get souvenir, go shopping till your legs fall off, discover fine Japanese cuisine as well as Japan based oddities which include experiencing a maid cafe, getting a maiko makeover tons more! If you don't speak the language, fear not, this book also acts as a mini phrase book taught to you by original cute characters to get you to where you need to go. Included are railroad and subway maps to help you get around this bustling city. And best of all, it's written in English! Perhaps one of the highly recommended travel books out there as created by the locals themselves. Great for fans of bilingual books from Japan!
