Family crests are an important symbol in Japanese culture and perhaps one of the most recognizable crests is that of the Tokugawa Crest, representing the Tokugawa Shogunate that was in power during the Edo period back in the 17th century. The symbol is otherwise known as the "mitsu-aoi" which consists of three Holloyhock leaves that point in the center. A great symbol of Japan's history, crest comes to you in a DX wooden case that's great for storing cigarettes, use for cosplay, sending messages in a cool scroll like form or simply for show. The outside measures 9.5 cm height x 6.5 cm width x 3 cm length cm (3.7 x 2.5 x 1.2 inches) and can store items up to the following measurements 7.5 cm height x 4.5 width x 1.8 cm length (3 x 1.8 x 0.7 inches). This crest case is modeled after the one used in the long-running samurai drama Mito Komon, in which the traveling lord (and member of the Tokugawa household) uncovers evil, engages in a swordfight and then at the last moment pulls out this case, shoting "Kono mon-dokoro ga me ni hairanu ka?" (Do you not see this official crest case?), causing the evil-doers to hide their eyes in shame.
