Takoyaki is one of the most popular snack foods in Japan, famous especially in the Osaka area. It's basically a ball of batter with a piece of "tako" inside, i.e. octopus meat.

To make 40 takoyaki balls, combine 200 g of the takoyaki powder, 600 mL of water, one egg, and 60-80 grams of octopus meat. Mix together well. Put oil in the preheated takoyaki shaped pan, add liquid mix, one piece of octopus, and additional items (cabbage, etc) to taste. Cook while turning over repeatedly with a spiked tool as the balls become round and cooked. Paint with sauce, mayonnaise etc. (instock)
