One of the most original and impressive speculative fiction backdrops in visual novel storytelling forms the setting for this tale of love, loss, triumph, and necessity. Kenichi Morita is a cadet in training to be certified as a Special High Class Individual - a member of society's elite in the Wheel Country (the game's self-titled Sharin no Kuni). For his final project before graduation he must return to the town where he grew up, face his troubled past, and mentor individuals in the school there who have been sanctioned by social decree, "rehabilitating" them for incorporation into society. As Kenichi you will interact with the game's heroines, each with her own troubled past and cross she must bear. The game's Himawari no Shoujo (literally "Sunflower Girl") is Natsumi Hinata, a shy, withdrawn student who additionally has been "Prohibited from Falling in Love" by social decree. As a Special High Class Individual you may be the only one who can save her from an awful fate - but other heroines with situations nearly as dire await your help as well. This PSP release of Sharin no Kuni comes with the Houzuki route from the PC fandisc, so you won't miss any of the excellent story.

About this software product: This is a standard Sony PSP UMD game made for the Japanese market. It is compatible with PSP hardware (all versions) from around the world.
